Little Girl, I could stare at you all day...

Minute-to-Win-It Party

Today was our friend Luke's birthday. Instead of throwing a traditional party where everyone brings gifts and sings praises to the birthday boy, he wanted to do something different: he wanted to give US gifts (I know, Luke really is a wonderful guy)! So he and his wife Mary bought some goodies (gift cards, candy, toys, etc) and devised a series of challenges to earn these prizes. They borrowed some funs activities from the hit TV show, "Minute to Win It". Here are some of the challenges we had to do:
  • Bounce a ping pong across a table and land it on a piece of bread covered in peanut butter.
  • Wrap your partner in a whole roll of toilet paper without breaking it.
  • With a partner, balance a toothbrush using two threads of floss; put it in a bucket.
  • Put an oreo on your forehead; without using hands, get it into your mouth and eat it.
  • With a partner, play ping pong back-and-forth with a wad of paper; put it in a bucket.
  • Keep three balloons in the air for one minute.
It was one of the funnest birthday parties Austin and I have ever been to.
Thanks Luke and Mary!

This is my daughter...

Does these PJs make her look chubby?

No.

She makes the PJs look chubby

Oh, how we love this precious baby.

Setting history straight....

I'm convinced that Marie Antoinette has been misquoted for centuries; I'm pretty sure she said, "Let ME eat cake." That's what I would have said if I'd been facing an impending revolution that would eventually result in me loosing my head. Cake helps me forget my troubles, and I'm sure it was the same for Mme Antoinette.
So HERE'S TO CAKE!!!

I think my daughter hates me...

Geneve went in for immunizations today. Overall I think she handled
it pretty well...

just kidding.

Notice the Tazmanian Devil bandaids.

Both thighs... ouch.

My husband has a mullet

Last night we decided to give Austin a haircut. It was only when he was facing the mirror and sporting a white garbage sack that I realized something horrible.... he had a mullet! What kind of wife AM I? Had it really been that long since I'd cut this poor man's hair? I know we're in Idaho, but mullets are UNACCEPTABLE!
This photo reminded us both of an early 1990's version of Austin... enjoy.

I wish I'd had this idea

Adele Enerson is a computer specialist from Helsinki, Finland. While her daughter is soundly asleep, she creates a completely different world … from whatever she can find around her house!
What a truly fabulous imagination! Here is her blog:

"To My Child"

You are the trip I could not take
You are the pearls I could not buy
You are my blue Italian lake
You are my piece of foreign sky

Geneve's 2nd month

Geneve likes to hug herself really tight when she's buckled in her stroller.

A visit from the McKeens

My family came up to visit for my cousins's homecoming talk, so we all spent the day in Rexburg. My parents both attended Ricks College, so we took the family up to campus to show them all the new changes.
